Commissioner Bruce Holmes Youth Foundation Hosted its Annual Momentous Youth Foundation Gala

This wonderful fundraising event for CBHYF, was hosted by, Henry County’s own Mr.

Greg Alan Williams, Actor, Author and Educator. Mr. Greg Alan Williams is recently known for his amazing role on OWN’s network series Greenleaf as “Uncle Mac”. Mr. Williams was the Master of Ceremony this year. Our red carpet host was Mr. Larry Love, radio personality from V-103. Guests experienced a night of Moulin Rouge themed decor, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a wonderful dinner, entertaining music to dance the night away, on what was an amazingly festive evening with a beautiful program honoring local and national CBHYF supporters who by their generosity have provided hope and opportunity to deserving youth within our community.

“Mentoring has been proven to have a positive impact on youth development and we continue to have a high demand for quality, and caring community leaders that have a passion for making a difference”, says Toni Holmes, CBHYF President.”

This year’s honorees included: Mr. Eric Watson, Principal of Stockbridge High School; Pastor Dr. Edward Lee, Shiloh Baptist Church; Mildred Schmelz, Vice Chair Henry County Board of Elections; Darius Patillo, District Attorney of Henry County; Rannie Goodwater, Mentor of Project Exposure; Joyce Rodgers, Henry County Hospital Authority; and Mekhi

Whitner, Mentee of Project Exposure.

Within a very short span of time the organization has successfully created measurable change through program development and partnering with existing institutions in the community to deliver activities which create meaningful, sustainable, and positive outcomes.
